THE SQUAMISH CREDIT UNION LEGACY FUND

Squamish Savings is a partnership formed through the merger between Squamish Credit Union and Vancity.  The Squamish Credit Union Legacy Fund was established as a living reminder to commemorate the rich sixty year history of the Squamish Credit Union and the loyalty of the many members that contributed to its success.

The Legacy Fund provides grants to charitable organizations and community groups that generally support Squamish Savings Vision of “Making our Communities Better” and its focus on “Youth as the future of our Communities”.

2009 Grants:

Up to $35,000 is available for distribution, in whole or in part, at the discretion of the board of The Board of Directors of Squamish Savings.

Eligible Organizations/Groups:

The organization must be a registered charity or qualified donee under the Income Tax Act.  Financial need must be demonstrated and the organization must have effective management and fiscal responsibility.  Grants are not made to individuals or businesses.

Funding Purposes:

Projects approved for funding will encompass one or more of the following themes:

	Youth
	Education
	Environment
